Boyle's Law

At a fixed temperature, with a fixed amount of gas, pressure times volume stays constant. Squeeze the gas into half the space and the particles hit the walls twice as often, so the pressure doubles. Slide the piston to set the volume and land on the target pressure. The point traces the curve of pressure against volume.
