The Wave Equation v = f λ

The speed of a wave equals its frequency multiplied by its wavelength. In a given material the speed is fixed, so if you raise the frequency the wavelength must shrink to keep the product the same. They trade off against each other. Choose a frequency that gives the target wavelength.

Mission Speed is fixed at 12 m/s. Set the frequency to make the wavelength 3.0 m. Round 1Streak 0Best 0
At fixed speed, doubling the frequency makes the wavelength:
speed v12 m/s
frequency f2.0 Hz
wavelength λ = v / f6.0 m
v = f λ: 12 = 2.0 × 6.0.
