Put a wire carrying a current into a magnetic field and the wire is pushed. That push is the motor effect, and it spins every electric motor, from a fan to an electric car. Make the current bigger or the magnet stronger and the push grows. Reverse the current, or swap the poles, and the push flips the other way. Build the force up to the target mark.
