Bend the Beam

Because alpha and beta are charged, a field can bend their paths, and because their charges are opposite, they bend in opposite directions. Beta bends much more than alpha, since it is far lighter. Gamma has no charge, so it goes straight through. Set the field to steer the chosen beam into the target detector.

Field:
Mission Steer the beta beam into the target detector. Round 1 Streak 0 Best 0
Compared with the target, the beam will land:
alpha (+2, heavy)bends a little
beta (-1, light)bends a lot, opposite way
gamma (no charge)not deflected
Opposite charges bend opposite ways. Lighter beta bends more than heavier alpha. Gamma goes straight.
