A printable prediction card for Think-Pair-Share, Solver and Coach role cards, and eight Rally Coach problem cards with the checking answer on each.

How it is built

Visual first, and built to be talked through

The bundle is anchored to one picture: two cubes of equal volume, steel and aluminium, where the denser material has heavier particles that also sit more closely packed. Calculation and floating are then read off the same model, so the maths and the reasoning stay joined up.

The main practice runs as Rally Coach, where one partner solves out loud while the other checks each line, then they swap. Structured talk like this gives English-as-an-additional-language learners a route into the physics, and random call after the task keeps every learner accountable.

Original work by the TheLucidSTEM team. Questions are written in the style of the papers; no past paper question is reproduced. Supplied in editable formats so you can adapt them freely.
